Merchant Taylors' City Network 2014

The second Merchant Taylors' City Network took place on Wednesday 21st May at the Merchant Taylors' Hall. There was a good crowd of OMTs, parents, and parents of OMTs in attendance. For some of our guests it was their first visit to the Hall and there were many positive comments about the wonderful surroundings we enjoyed.

Simon Everson spoke to guests about his experiences since joining the School as Head Master in September 2013 and his plans for the future. He spoke about the growing involvement of OMTs with current pupils for careers advice and work experience, and of the increasing importance of groups like the City Network for careers development. He thanked those people who were already registered to appear in the online Careers Directory and encouraged those who weren't to consider adding their name to the list (this can be done by indicating on your profile page that you wish to appear in the directory).

Thank you to all those who attended the event and provided feedback on the format of future events for this group. If you didn't attend and would like to make suggestions for future events, please get in touch by email and let us know what you think.

The City Network is the first of a number of sector-specific networking and social events we intend to run. In June 2014, we are holding a Medics Convention at the School and in October we are holding an Arts and Creative Industries Reception. Registration for both is possible hereWe hope to expand the industries we cater for in 2015.
