Merchant Taylors' Fund

The Merchant Taylors' Fund (annual fund) is the School’s regular giving programme. It provides additional non-fee income for projects of immediate need around the School. It has been running successfully since 2008 and has made a significant contribution - now over £1,300,000 - to a number of relatively modest projects at the school as well as making a big impact on the number of bursary awards we are able to make each year. By supporting the Merchant Taylors' Fund you are making a real difference to the lives of current and future pupils of Merchant Taylors’ School.

Each year we make an appeal to our OMTs and parents to support our Annual Fund projects. Until 2013, this had just been by letter. In the Summer of 2013 we began running Telephone Fundraising Campaigns and have run them biennially ever since.

Ways to Give to the Merchant Taylors' Fund

There are a number of ways you can make a gift to the Merchant Taylors' Fund:

Regular giving - monthly, quarterly or annual - is particularly valuable to the School because it allows us to plan for future projects by having income we can rely upon. The most efficient and practical way you can do this is by setting up a Direct Debit. In order to do this, you must download a donation form, complete your details and either post or email it back to us. You will receive a confirmation of the Direct Debit before any money leaves your account. 

You can make a one-off or recurring gift by credit or debit card through our secure donation form. This is probably the quickest and easiest way to give, but is marginally less efficient than a Direct Debit gift because we are charged card fees.

You can make a one-off gift of cash, personal cheque or CAF cheque, by completing our donation form and posting it back to us.

Tax Efficient Giving

Whichever way you choose to give to the School, because we are a charity, it should be tax efficient for you to do so. For more information on tax efficient giving, including gifts of shares and legacies, please click here. It is worth enquiring of your company whether they will match any charitable giving as this is a way to increase your gift at no further cost to you.
