Phab's Casino Royale

On Friday 20th March, the 2015 Phab Team hosted a Black Tie Casino Night: Phab’s Casino Royale. 124 guests were treated to a 5-star evening, with a red carpet arrival. The guests were serenaded by the Merchants of Groove throughout the drinks reception in the Undercroft, before settling in the Dining Room for the evening. The Dining Room was transformed into a 007-style Casino, akin to those found in Monaco. After a delicious three course meal provided by the School’s catering team, the guests were able to chance their luck at the blackjack, poker and roulette tables. The winner managed to turn $100 of fun money into $10,000, and chose the PlayStation 4, kindly donated by Mr and Mrs Collings, as their prize. 

Thank you to everyone who donated prizes for the casino winners, including Opro and McKay Williamson Photography. The night was an absolute success raising over £5,080 for Phab Week 2015. None of this would have been able to happen without that the support of the maintenance and catering departments. Nine members of the catering department volunteered their time on Friday evening to help support this wonderful charity. Thanks must be extended to Dave Fayer, Nevin McCloy, Sandra Lacey, Marion Edwardes, Lorraine Parrot, Carlie Sawyer, Sharon Griggs, Kelly Matthews, Sheree Willis and Alison Gurney.  The 2015 Phab Team thanks everyone who has supported not only the Casino Night, but all our fundraising endeavours this year. Now to get excited for Phab Week!
