OMT Classic Car Club Inaugural Lunch

Saturday 1st April 2017

At 11am on the 1st April 2017, vehicles of every era started to arrive at Merchant Taylors’ School. Following a drivers’ briefing, the cars proceeded in convoy up the Long Drive to be greeted by a chequered flag outside the OMT Clubhouse. The wonderful weather saw everyone linger to discuss and admire the cars spanning nearly 90 years of motoring history and seven decades of OMTs.

Lunch was taken, speeches were short and very amusing. After lunch, guests were given a tour of the new Design and Technology building by the department’s Head, Haydn Hutchings.

After an absence of nearly seventy years, the first event of the resurrected OMTCCC with nearly fifty attendees, was a resounding success.
