Merchant Taylors' Event Registration

Tickets may be paid for by credit or debit card by simply following the three step process below. Click the check box next to the event you would like to attend, type in the number of guests you are booking for, then click the continue button at the bottom of the page. 

If you are an OMT please do login before booking tickets as the registration process will be much easier. Once logged in you can register yourself with one click rather than re-entering your contact details.

Richard Shorter is a youth worker, coach and parent. He is an honest fun and passionate person, with the guts to talk about those parts of life others shy away from. He has the courage to ask questions that will help people discover solutions to their problems and grow in self-confidence and self-belief. This interactive meeting for mothers and fathers will give you practical support and advice on how to support your child in gaining the most from their sport experience. Focusing on ensuring that children have the right mindset to support success on and off the sport arena. Richard works with parents of national youth teams such as England Rugby, England Cricket, England Hockey. He has also worked professional teams such as Manchester United, Bath Rugby and Essex Cricket in supporting parents to nurture success in their children. This is a complimentary event but please register to confirm attendance.

Come and join us in the splendid surroundings of Merchant Taylors' Hall in the City of London to enjoy a concert featuring ensembles from Merchant Taylors' School, Merchant Taylors' Prep School and St John's School. The concert starts at 6.45 pm and ends around 8.00 pm but guests are welcome to arrive from 6.00 pm for tea. The following MTS ensembles will be performing: Chamber Choir, Chamber Orchestra, Vocal Group, Piano Trio, Taylors' Brass and Clarinet Quartet. The Bass Boys and String Quartet from St John's School will also be performing along with musicians from Merchant Taylor's Prep School. There is no charge to attend the concert but please register via the website as soon as possible to allow Merchant Taylors' Hall to organise seating and catering.

The Annual Serenaders' Quiz Night is a fantastic opportunity to pit your wits against teams of fellow friends, students, staff and supporters of the Music department. A variety of general knowledge and some music rounds will challenge your grey cells. Bring along a table of 8 or join fellow quizzers on the night, doors open at 18.30 and the quiz kicks off at 19.00 Ticket price of £25 for single tickets and £10 for students includes curry buffet and entertainment from the Dixieland Band.

Merchant Taylors' School in association with Chorleywood Bookshop are proud to welcome Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks to discuss his new book "Morality, why we need it and how to find it". Well known and admired by Jews and non-Jews, the fomer Chief Rabbi of the United Hebrew Congregations of the UK and Commonwealth has talked to key modern-day influencers from Melinda Gates to David Brooks and the book examines themes such as lifelong learning, thanksgiving, family life, community and a culture of positive argument in place of destructive conflict. Single ticket price of £20 includes a copy of "Morality, why we need it and how to find it", the pair ticket price of £30 includes one book and entry for two, while the student ticket of £8 is for entry only.

The Organisers of the OMT Society City luncheon are delighted to invite all OMTs to the private dining room at London's Guildhall for the Spring lunch on Friday 20th March 2020 12.30 for 13.00. The guest speaker is Alderman Nicholas Lyons who, for over 35 years, has had a career in insurance and banking, is representative of Tower Ward, Under Renter Warden of Merchant Taylors' Company and prospective candidate for the Shrieval Election 2020. Dress is suit and OMT tie. The price of the luncheon is £80 inclusive of reception drink, three course meal with wines. The lunch is a very friendly occasion and new attendees will be made most welcome. We welcome in particular, younger OMTs and offer an under 40's price of £50. The MTS friends of hockey parent group, the Strikers, presents "A Night at the Races". On Saturday 21st March 2020 parents and friends are warmly invited to an evening of racing including betting on the Tote and sponsorship of virtual horses. There will be a drinks reception from 7pm and the first race starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are £30 per person and include a meal, an live DJ after the racing. Dress code - Smart Casual.

Kindly hosted by UBS and Nick Berman (OMT 2006) in the Atrium of their 5, Broadgate building, this is a wonderful opportunity to network with other members of the Merchant Taylors' School community. The evening will begin with brief market talk from a member of the UBS research team, canapés and drinks will be served. Registration is complimentary but early booking and confirmation is recommended for this extremely popular event.

The Annual Presidential Reception, OMT Clubhouse, Sandy Lodge. All OMTs and their partners and families are invited to thank General Sir Richard Barrons for his wonderful contribution to the Society over the last 12 months and to pass the Presidency over to J Duncan Edwards. The evening will begin with a drinks reception followed by speeches and a musical interlude performed by the Thomas White Singers. A delicious buffet including hot and cold dishes, desserts and assorted cheeses will be served. Table plans will be arranged in advance and a cash bar will be available. Dress is smart casual and tickets are priced at £36 per person
