OMT Dinner - 15th November 2019
Last Friday at the Merchant Taylors’ Hall, Old Merchant Taylors of all ages gathered for the annual OMT Society Dinner.
It was a most convivial occasion, with the Head Master Simon Everson, OMT Society President General Sir Richard Barrons and Master of the Company, Nicholas Hunter Jones giving addresses. The Head spoke about the essential characteristics of what constitutes a Merchant Taylors’ education and why it is worth defending.
These characteristics can be described by the five key tenets of MTS namely: innovation, inspiration, confidence, bravery and joy. The Head also referred to the importance of community and the thousands of Old Merchant Taylors whose support for their alma mater is enormously appreciated and will be essential in the future.
