Medicine and Dentistry Convention
Saturday 1st February 2025, 10am until 12.30pm
The Medicine and Dentistry Convention is held every two years and is the opportunity for students in fourths and above, who would like to explore more about careers in Medicine and Dentistry, to hear from OMTs and parents who have experience in a broad range of specialisms.
The morning begins with a series of talks held in the Exam Hall. A selection of speakers will illustrate the career journey through the first steps of medical training at University to specialisms such as Urology, Cardiology and Paediatrics. After a short refreshment break, you can spend time speaking one to one with our volunteer speakers in a more informal setting. Teaching staff will be on hand to discuss the support that Merchant Taylors' School gives its medicine and dentistry hopefuls such as work experience, planning your University applications and mock interviews.
This is a free event but for planning purposes we ask that you register all guests who are attending.
When you register there is an entirely voluntary opportunity to donate to the school's Bursary Fund. The aim of this fund is to widen access to a Merchant Taylors' School education to those who would otherwise not be able to afford it. Thank you for considering making a donation.
Credit card charges are no longer levied on payments to the school. Instead, the service provider includes an option at the end of the form to leave a voluntary donation towards the card charges. However, please note that you are under no obligation to pay the charge — the school does not benefit from this — so paying the charge is entirely at your discretion.
If you would like to contact us about this event or any other matter, please email the Development Office at events@mtsn.org.uk.
