Hugo Anthony is new World Champion in Mens’ Freestyle Kayaking 

Sixth Former, Hugo Anthony, became the World Champion in the Mens’ Junior Freestyle Kayaking Event in Ottawa last term. This huge sporting fixture held on the Ottawa River in Canada had 212 competitors from 29 countries. Hugo, who as British Junior Mens’ Champion, led the Team GB junior squad, won through the heats and the semis and into the final 5. He then put down a massive 781 points to win gold for Great Britain. This win means that he automatically qualifies for the 2017 World Championships in Rio.
