Under 14A Hockey - Season Report

The U14A side went from strength to strength during the Spring Term, enjoying both individual development and high amounts of team success.
This highly talented group of individuals have surpassed all expectations. They have managed to break into the top sixteen U14 sides in the country, narrowly losing out to a strong Whitgift team, 1 - 0, in the last three minutes of the game. More importantly the squad bought into a highly challenging program, which focused on their intensity, attitude and core hockey skills. All pupils rose to the challenge resulting in some advanced hockey play and a great team spirit amongst the group.
There were some impressive performances this year, one of which came against a strong Watford Grammar School, who had made it into the last sixty-four in the country. A dominant MTS side won the game 6 - 0, executing very advanced hockey interplay and finishing off chances with precision and ease. The season ended on a high with a 5 - 0 win over rivals Haberdashers', closing an action-packed hockey term.
