Distinction at Model United Nations

On the weekend of the 14th and 15th March, 12 boys went to the annual Model United Nations conference and had a weekend full of fun and debate representing Cuba and Chad. The conference was an invaluable experience for the boys. They spoke frequently in their committees and proposed many amendments on behalf of their designated country; and some of their resolutions were approved and debated.

On the Sunday afternoon, three of our boys had the privilege to speak in front of the General Assembly, with a speech in support of their resolutions. In recognition of his performance, Rutvik Patel was given a distinguished delegate award by the chair of his committee.

Model United Nations is an excellent way to increase self-confidence and rhetorical skills, as well as meeting people not only from across the country, but also from other parts of the globe. Congratulations to all of those who took part.
