Phab Phriday and the Phab Revue

Theo Reynolds (U6th & Phab Team) writes: Friday 6th February was Phab Phriday, a Mufti Day in order to raise money for Phab Week, during which twenty members of the Sixth Form provide a residential respite week for mentally and physically disabled teenagers. As ever, the Krispy Kremes were incredibly popular; over 1000 were devoured during the Quarter. Combined with the £2 payment for mufti day and the revenue from Phab Revue, the Phab team raised an impressive £5,000.

The highlight of the weekend was the Phab Revue. Weeks of rehearsals and planning culminated in two shows, on Friday and Saturday, for over 300 Taylors’ and St Helen’s students. Members of year groups from the Divisions upwards showcased their incredible talents. Special mentions must go to the ‘Scissorum Sisters’ who performed ‘Can’t Stand Me Now’, ‘0.6 Grams’, and ‘The Bugby Boiz’. Everyone had a great time – and we hope to offer a similar showcase next year! A huge thank you must go to Miss Marsh, Mr Hibbert, Mr Gimmi, and the rest of the technical team. Without their efforts, the event would not have been possible.
